the age of 38, Wendy Watson was one of the first woman in Britain to
have a pre-emptive double mastectomy to avoid the breast cancer which
has stalked her family. Now, 13 years later, her daughter has made the
same stark choice.
Becky Measures is only 24, but she has had both breasts removed. Becky, a radio presenter, lives in Bakewell, Derbyshire, with Wendy, 51 and her stepfather Chris, 57, a retired policeman.
